West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council
The West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council was established under the 1992 amendments of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Council members are appointed by the Governor and include representatives from the Centers in the West Virginia Independence Network, the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (WVDRS), and other state agencies that provide services for individuals with disabilities.
West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (WVDRS)
The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) helps people with disabilities establish and reach their vocational goals. The primary goal for all DRS clients is to become productive working citizens.
Fair Shake Network
The FAIR SHAKE NETWORK is an association of West Virginians dedicated to the belief that diversity makes our communities stronger. People with disabilities have the right to live, work, and play in their own homes and communities. The Fair Shake Network provides training and systems advocacy on issues affecting people with disabilities through statewide, grassroots, cross disability activities.
WV Developmental Disabilities Council
Working to assure that West Virginians with developmental disabilities receive the services, supports, and other forms of assistance they need to exercise self-determination and achieve independence, productivity, integration, and inclusion in the community.
WV Commission for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing
The mission of the West Virginia Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WVCDHH) is to advocate for, develop, and coordinate public policies, regulations, and programs to assure full and equal opportunity for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing in West Virginia.
WV State Rehabilitation Council
The role of the SRC is to advise and assist the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) in preparing the State Plan for Vocational Services to assure that State and Federal governments play a leadership role in promoting employment for persons with disabilities; and to assess consumer satisfaction with and analyze the effectiveness of the rehabilitation services provided by DRS.
WV Olmstead Office
The Olmstead Office has the following responsibilities: develop, implement and monitor West Virginia’s Olmstead activities in compliance with Title II of the ADA; provide support to the Olmstead Council in carrying out their duties; manage grant funding to carry out Olmstead-related projects; facilitate the implementation of the Transition Navigator Program; and provide information, referral and assistance to West Virginia citizens about Olmstead-related issues and needs.
WV ADA Office
The Mission of the West Virginia State Americans with Disabilities Act Office is to ensure that all West Virginia citizens have the opportunity to actively, fully and equally participate in all state government activities and programs.

Like any organization working with limited funding, WIN centers lack the resources required to meet the needs of EVERY WV citizen living with a disability.
