Advocacy

Advocacy in Action is provided to voice our position and to educate. Our goal is to empower you to become a better self-advocate and encourage you to exercise your constitutional rights to ensure equal access for all.

Speaking For An Unheard Minority

Advocacy is the central thread to our day to day operations. Centers in the West Virginia Independence Network advocate for civil rights and equal access for all Mountaineers living with any type of disability.

WIN centers work with consumers to know their rights and work to stand for them and obtain necessary resources for a prosperous and independent life. WIN aims to affect positive change on the local, state, and federal levels.  Our goal is to achieve full inclusion for all disabled persons living in West Virginia.

We Speak For Us

Being an effective advocate isn’t always easy. The West Virginia Independence is here to teach anyone interested to navigate accessibility, benefits, services or accommodations, as well as to find a voice in the legislative process.
